Dashboard

Understand the home screen and navigation.

Dashboard

The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. Here's what's on it and how to get around the app.

The Home Screen

After logging in you land on the Dashboard at /dashboard. It has two main widgets:

Latest News

Shows the most recent announcements published by your organization — headlines, updates, and important notices. Click any post title to read the full text.

My Events

Shows upcoming events where you:

  • Have an accepted RSVP
  • Are assigned as a volunteer
  • Are scheduled on a service plan

Each event card shows the event name, date, and time. Click an event to see its details.

The Sidebar (Navigation Menu)

The left-side panel is your main navigation. It shows only the modules your organization has turned on.

Menu Item What it opens
Dashboard This home screen
Directory Member and family list
Groups Small groups
Events Organization events and calendar
Songs Song library
Service Flows Worship service plans
Tournaments Tournament registrations and brackets
Finance Financial ledger (admin/finance only)
Settings Organization configuration (admin only)

At the bottom of the sidebar you may see a quick-action button depending on your role — for example Add Family or Bulk Upload.

Mobile Navigation

On a phone or tablet, the sidebar is hidden by default:

  1. Tap the ☰ menu icon in the top-left corner to open the navigation drawer.
  2. Tap any menu item to navigate.
  3. The drawer closes automatically when you select a page.

Your Avatar Menu

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner to access:

  • Profile — edit your name, phone, and password
  • Switch Organization — move to a different organization
  • Log Out — sign out of the app

Breadcrumbs and Back Navigation

Most pages show the current section name in the top bar. Use your browser's back button or the sidebar to return to a previous section.

Empty States

If a section shows a "nothing here yet" message, it means your organization hasn't added any data there. If you have the right permissions, you'll see an Add or Create button to get started.
